Equifax Credit Freezes Extended

CNN Money is reporting that Equifax has extended the deadline for their free credit freeze for another 5 months.

From the article:

“After disclosing a massive data breach last year, Equifax said it would waive the fee for credit freezes through January 31. But as the deadline approached this week, the company extended it to June 30. ”

If you have not taken steps to protect yourself from this breach – please take advantage of this!  See the section at the top of this page labeled “ID Theft Links” to help you.  Keep in mind this 5 month extension only is for Equifax and not the other 2 credit companies, TransUnion and Experian.
